A sequel to last year’s first “Love Life” conference will be held in Edmonton on Saturday November 10, 2007, from 8:30 am to 4:45 pm. “Love Life: A Life Issues Conference” seeks to provide participants with a deeper appreciation for the life God creates and with practical help in facing a range of life-related issues. It is co-sponsored by Lutherans For Life-Canada, Concordia University College of Alberta, and Concordia Lutheran Seminary.
The conference takes place at Concordia University College of Alberta and features as its main speakers the Rev. Dr. Gerald Krispin, that institution’s new president, and Dr. Stephen Genuis, a well-known Edmonton obstetrician/gynecologist. Dr. Krispin will speak on “God’s Will and the Handicapped,” and Dr. Genuis on “Teen Sex: Reality Strikes Back.”
Each participant can also choose to attend three optional sessions from a range of topics, including health and well-being, elder-care, stem-cell research, talking to kids about sex, and the Bible’s view of the family. Displays and exhibits will be provided by various pro-life groups and individuals.
The cost of the conference for those who pre-register by October 31 is $20.00. Registration at the door costs $25.00. Students pay only $10.00 either way. A light lunch is included in the fee, and parking is free on the Concordia campus.
