CLS is offering 3 M.Div. courses by Distance Education this coming semester (beginning January 18).

These courses may be taken in "Open Studies" by anyone who holds a bachelor's degree and meets the following pre-requisities, where applicable.
(1) EXE-250, "Jesus and the Gospels" (Dr. Stephen Chambers). Pre-requisite is EXE-100, Introduction to the Study of Scripture.

(2) PRX-240, "Teaching the Faith" (Dr. James Gimbel). (3) SYS-440, "Faith, Life, and Ethics" (Dr. John Hellwege). Pre-requisite is SYS-100, Theological Method.

CLS seeks to call a full-time faculty member

Concordia Lutheran Seminary, Edmonton, Alberta seeks to call a full-time faculty member. The MDiv curriculum follows the classical model (exegetical, historical, systematic, and practical coursework). Candidates meriting serious consideration will be ordained pastors of Lutheran Church-Canada or one of its partner-churches who possess significant parish experience, an earned terminal degree (Th.D or Ph.D), proficiency in one of the four specialty areas but able to teach in a variety of theological disciplines, administrative capability, a positive and pastoral personality, and a commitment to excellence in pastoral formation and service to the Church.

Position Available

Concordia Lutheran Seminary, Edmonton, has an opening for an Administrative Assistant to the President. Qualified candidates should be personable, responsible, committed to the mission of the seminary (forming servants for Jesus' sake), with significant office, business, and self-management skills. Duties include responsibility and/or support in record keeping, data entry, word processing, database management, development, PR, web presence, social media skills, Church Relations, and some finance management. Although a support staff position, the role has significant firsthand ministry and a formative influence on future pastors of LCC. Significant consideration is given to fit with the culture of the synod, the seminary, and the existing faculty and staff.
