Second Career Exploration - November 23 at CLS

Sometimes God nudges people toward ministry in their youth as a first professional vocation. Other times, life may take different turns early, and people respond to God's ministry nudge after working in some other career or profession first. Either way, Concordia Lutheran Seminary exists to prepare men for Lutheran pastoral ministry and men or women for diaconal Lutheran ministry in Canada.

If you are interested in finding out more information about the ministry and the seminary, whether as a first or second career, please consider joining us November 23, 2019, 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., on our Edmonton seminary campus for an exploration of what seminary training for ministry could mean for you.

The exploration event starts at 10 a.m. when we will get acquainted over coffee. It will include a tour of the building, a student panel talking about their seminary experience, spending time in a brief seminary "class," hearing basic information about the seminary, and have time for Q&A, eating lunch, and closing with a devotion by 1:30 p.m. We are hoping to record components of the day, so that if you are unable to attend, you can catch up a bit by listening to the recording later.

In order to help us plan, please register by contacting Dr. Jim Gimbel directly at
jgimbel@concordiasem.ab.ca or 780-474-1468 x 224 and let him know.

Spouses are encouraged to attend as well.
