Sacred Convocation - May 29

CLS celebrates the completion of its 31st Academic Year, Friday, May 29 at 7:00 p.m. MDT in the Robert Tegler Student Centre, Concordia University of Edmonton. You are warmly invited to join us for this Sacred Convocation. Students Aaron Astley, Cody Cooper, Scott Gamble, and Eric Moffett will have successfully completed their coursework and will be awarded their M.Div degree.  These four students also stand ready to be assigned their first pastoral call at this service as “servants for Jesus’ sake.”  An honourary “Faith in Life” award will be granted to Mrs. Deanna (Laverne) Hautz recognizing her efforts to spearhead a stronger identity and relationship with ministry wives in the LCC, Alberta-British Columbia District. At the same service, three deacons, trained in the DPS program at Concordia University College of Alberta, will be recognized in preparation for their placement into service within LCC.  Rev. Nolan Astley will be the preacher for the service. We warmly welcome you to

Campus News

Concordia University of Edmonton is the new and official name of Concordia University College of Alberta, our neighbours across the street. We celebrate that designation change with them. We also thank God for our partnership with them even as we say farewell to four professors who have spent the past nine months housed in our building: Rev. Dr. Jonathan Strand, Rev. Dr. Bill Anderson, Rev. Dr. John Maxfield, and Dr. (Cand) Jenn Shack.  It has been a blessing to have you in our midst; we wish you God's richest blessings as you return to the CUE offices (with space made possible by the University of Lethbridge moving off the CUE campus). You survived the fire and displacements with us, reminding us all of our transience in this world.
